Tucumcari Fired Up Festival

Fired Up event in Tucumcari, NM, scheduled for September 12. 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Good morning,
I wanted to reach out in advance regarding our upcoming Fired Up event in Tucumcari, NM, scheduled for September 12. 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Last year’s event was a tremendous success, and I sincerely appreciate everyone’s support and participation. The community turnout was outstanding, and the various specialty units and displays were a major attraction. A special thank you to everyone who contributed to making the event memorable.
District 9 has already secured the following:
1. Recruiting canopy, table, swag, and cornhole game for the kids.
2. Recruiters to engage with the community and distribute recruiting materials.
If additional recruiting swag is available, it would be greatly appreciated. As the event approaches, I can make a trip to Santa Fe to pick up any available materials.
Additional Support Requested
1. Able 7
* Last year this was a hit and would appreciate if its available this year. James, I know we have spoken about this off an on.
1. Mustang Unit 500 or Car 1
* The Mustang or Car 1. Having either vehicle on display again would be a great addition to the event.
1. Crime Scene Team
* If your team is available to conduct fingerprinting activities or anything else for children, it would be greatly appreciated.
1. Tactical Team with BearCat and Rook
* This would be an outstanding addition, as we were unable to showcase these assets last year. Please advise regarding availability.
1. EOD Team and Equipment
* It would be great to have the EOD Team and any available equipment, suit or robots on display. We missed having this capability represented last year. Please advise regarding availability.
1. Commercial Vehicle Simulator
* Ethan, thank you for your support in previous years. If available, I would greatly appreciate your assistance with bringing the simulator again this year.
While I understand operational commitments and resource availability may impact participation, I would greatly appreciate any support that can be provided. These displays provide an excellent opportunity for community engagement and recruitment while showcasing the professionalism and capabilities of the New Mexico State Police.
