Dear Participants and Families,
I extend a warm welcome to all of you joining us for Challenge 2024! The New Mexico State Police has faced numerous trials and sacrifices, yet we continue to embrace new challenges with resolve. I express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone participating in this year’s event.
Our annual competition aims to test the knowledge of our Officers and Transportation Inspectors in commercial vehicle inspections. I am confident that each of you will demonstrate your expertise in the competitive process, which has been meticulously planned over the past months. The top competitors from the CVE Bureau will represent the New Mexico State Police at the North American Inspectors Championship (NAIC) in August, held in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Additionally, I would like to acknowledge the generous support of our sponsors, whose contributions have made this event possible. Should you encounter any sponsors during this year’s competition, please take a moment to express your gratitude. Furthermore, this year’s event is dedicated to the memory of our fallen Officer, Justin Hare.
I extend my appreciation to Director Johnny Johnson and the staff of the New Mexico Trucking Association for their invaluable contribution to this year’s event.

We're thrilled to announce the commencement of this year's event. Please refer to this webpage for your scheduled competition times. Upon arrival, you'll be grouped into teams. However, please note that although you'll be seated with your team during the test, it must be completed individually—Cory insists on it.
Join us for a Meet and Greet on Thursday evening, complete with complimentary food. It's a wonderful opportunity to mingle, so feel free to bring along your guests.
Back by popular demand, laser tag will be featured on Friday night! Participation is mandatory as part of our team-building exercise. Last year, the MCSAP staff proved formidable opponents, so this is your chance for redemption. Let's make it a family affair and create some unforgettable memories!
